>Bio/Cv Ran Slavin is a cross media audio-visual artist from Tel Aviv. Working with digital music, live video improvisation, experimental cinema. Experimenting in a/v transmissions and audio-visual installations/screenings. His output combines electronic compositions, error music and sonic panoramas in dislocated urban scenarios. Known for his videos, music, and live audio-visual performances that present audio-visual realms unfolding between the urban and the abstract, the real and unreal, transmutations of reality through a prism of video-music and sonic layers. His acclaimed audio-visual films blur distinctions between present and future, real and hyper real, documentary and fiction mixing dislocations of reality and sound into compositions on the threshold of digital painting. Collaborating with the labels Sub Rosa [Brussels] Cronica [Portugal], Mille Plateaux [Frankfurt] , AK Duck [Jerusalem] and has produced solo and collaborative cd's, soundtracks for various film and dance ensembles and performing/screening his work widely.
